‘‘Where the Land Meets the Sea’’ is an application-based drop featuring works from Damien Hirst’s latest series ‘‘Coast Paintings’’, ‘‘Sea Paintings’’ and ‘‘Seascapes’’.
The ‘‘Coast Paintings’’ began their life as drop clothes laid on the floor of Hirst’s studio while he painted his ‘‘Cherry Blossom’’ series
Hirst is drawing influences from abstract expressionism, in particular Robert Motherwell’s ‘‘Beside The Sea Series’’ of the 1960’s
To coincide with the drop, Heni presents an exhibition of ‘‘Where the Land Meets the Sea’’ at Phillips Galleries in Berkeley Square until 18th August
